Human Relations Between Cuba And Cuba - 1888 Words
Lord Viscount Palmerston, a former British prime minister, once said that ââ¬Å"it is a narrow policy to suppose thatâ⬠¦ [Britain]â⬠¦ is to be marked out as the eternal ally or the perpetual enemy of England. We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow (qtd. Burke 51). This view is valid for all countries, but in particular, it speaks to the United States and their relationship with Cuba. Since 1959, the year in which Fidel Castro took over Cuba from the dictator Fulgencio Batista and established a communist regime, relations between America and Cuba have been rather tense. When Fidel Castro and his allies took power through a revolution,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Recent developments in the relationship between the US and Cuba have surprised many, but this is not a sudden change as there are many reasons for this shift. A number of countries in Latin America are hostil e to Americaââ¬â¢s foreign politics in the region and even some allies such as Mexico, Argentina, or Brazil have not agreed with Americaââ¬â¢s espionage scandal. In fact, the US spied on the Brazil, one of their greatest ally in the region. These revelations have cast a chill in relations between the two countries. Since American-Cuban relations are historically vast, this paper will focus on the history of the past 55 years in order to better understand the context of the current situation, and to help explain why this approach is not sudden or abrupt. America does not have permanent enemies and has often had a pragmatic approach toward hostile regimes. Analyzing the current approach of the American policy toward Cuba as a function of the international political scene, I will also show that the bulk of American opinion has evolved on the Cuban question. After many years, the embargo policy has not produced the expected effects on Cuban social structures. In addition, the Am erican economy needs new markets, like

Consumer Behaviour Online Research Paper Example
Essays on Consumer Behaviour Online Research Paper The paper "Consumer Behaviour Online" is an excellent example of a research paper on marketing.à In this cutting-edge era, marketing planning and strategies are directed towards creating an environment to influence consumer behavior. The products and services are launched in the market focusing on the tastes and the preferences of the consumer. Product quality and vigorous advertisement have changed the way the consumer behaves. However, it is significant to identify whether policies, strategies, and plans adopted by firms do fit in the consumerââ¬â¢s demands and needs and whether the methodologies adopted by companies goes in tandem with consumerââ¬â¢s ultimate needs. This paper focuses on consumer behavior online, as the understanding of customer needs and wants is one of the major underpinning constructs of the marketing constructs (M Evans, A. Jamal Gordon Foxall, 2006). It highlights how the theories and research methods help provide greater insight into the processes un derlying consumer behavior in online environments. The paper identifies two contrasting perspectives into consumer behavior related to Internet marketing mechanisms: the social values and emotional approach.2. Literature ReviewAccording to G. Zaltman (2002) ââ¬Å"A great mismatch exists between the way consumers experience and think about their world and the methods marketers use to collect this information.â⬠Though much research has been done on the effects of the Internet, cell phones, specialized search engines, websites, etc., to gauge consumer behavior the significance of personal, social, national and cultural aspects has yet to get equal footing. In principle, there is a need for study in identifying attitudes and behaviors of online consumers, from the point of consumer-style, as done in three European countries and the US, using data from the DDB Brand Capital Study showed that country differences are evident on consumption style. The Internet (Gerald Zoltnan, 2000) h as revolutionized the way advertising research is conducted. From traditional research problems, such as ethics, to brand new issues, such as online advertising, every aspect of advertising research has changed to adjust to the advent of the Internet and its related technologies. Personal values research in marketing has recently received a substantial amount of attention from both academics and practitioners. This more in-depth profiling of the consumer and his or her relationship to products offers potential not only for understanding the ââ¬Å"cognitiveâ⬠positioning of current products but also permits the development of positioning strategies for new products.Addressing the psychological view of the marketplace (Sheth, 1983) put forward the suggestion that in order to be competitive in marketing products in the 1980s, both researchers and management are going to have to if they have not already adopted this consumer-based orientation rather than one that merely focuses on product characteristics. Consumer Behaviour Online Research Paper Example Essays on Consumer Behaviour Online Research Paper The paper "Consumer Behaviour Online" is an excellent example of a research paper on marketing. In this, I have used the selected number of observations of my own Online behavior and that of my family and friends, employing observation discussion and questions, trying to find out what all we doing and why are we doing.

As Andreas is released, he meets the roman officer, Metilius, who was assigned to oversee his case. Metilius is first introduced to be very open-minded with the Jewish religions. He frequently debated and questioned the logic of the Jewish faith with Andreas during his briefings. His first task was to investigate the Essenes, a secretive community of people who lives in the wilderness who have hostility towards the Temple. After he was united with his slaves, they journeyed into the desert and met an exiled Essene named Baruch. Andreas hoped to gain information about the Essenes by showing him where to get food and drink so he wouldnââ¬â¢t perish in the wilderness. He learned that they practiced monogamy and criticized civilizationââ¬â¢s way of living, especially Herodââ¬â¢s lifestyle. They hated Rome and believed there was going to be a major religious war. Andreas wrote to Pilate and gave his filtered report, which stated that they fo llow a different calendar and still fairly paid taxes to the Temple. Hamlet and Henry IV free essay sample
A comparative analysis of father/son relationships in Shakespeares Hamlet and Henry IV. The paper presents a discussion of the male characters in both plays and then constructs a comparison between the two plays in terms of the father/son relationships therein. Polonius and Laertes, on the other hand, are portrayed as opposites in character. Although the play sees more of their relationship in the play, the viewers/readers cannot conclude that a happy relationship exists between the two of them. Laertes is a good and trusting son, who obeys his father unconditionally. Polonius, meanwhile, is a suspicious character that perceives his son as an alcoholic and womanizer. Polonius distrust in his son was seen at Act Two, Scene One, when he ordered his servant Reynaldo to spy on his son Laertes at France. He even went to the extent of making Reynaldo tell a lie by telling the Danes (Denmark people) that Laertes has full of vices to affirm if Polonius suspicion is true. In the end, both Hamlet and Laertes died, two men who sacrificed their lives to give justice to the death of their fathers.

Such strategies can be even opposite by nature since Americans and Japanese are representatives of opposite, western and eastern, cultures. However, wise managers and leaders do not become frustrated because of these differences, but make use of adopting some techniques. For instance, Alston and Takei point out such difference in business strategies, as American ââ¬Å"quick decision-makingâ⬠and Japanese thoroughness (11). Many Americans get impatient with such slow decision making process and regard it as partnersââ¬â¢ weakness. However, this characteristic feature of Japanese business strategy can be successfully adopted by American companies which will lead to safer deals. Thus, Japanese first check whether they can trust their partner and only then ââ¬Å"offer larger agreementsâ⬠(Alston Takei 11). American companies can also start with agreements of low value and when they are confident in their partner, they can start more close cooperation. Of course, understanding of cultural peculiarities can not only give some successful examples of running business, but it can also develop business communication on different levels. It is very important to follow any changes in the society of business partners to develop business relationship. At present the USA and Japan have good and fruitful relationship. Wall street journal even claims that Americans are ââ¬Å"Japanââ¬â¢s best friends in the Westâ⬠(Koh, ââ¬Å"APEC Guest Listâ⬠). These close connections can help develop even more comprehensive cooperation. For instance, Americans can study the situation in Japan and take advantage of it. Thus, Goldman states that nowadays Japanese express their discontent with the development of ââ¬Å"dreaded and outlawedâ⬠monopolies (Goldman 38).Advertising Looking for research paper on international relations? Of course, it can be also beneficial for America n business to enter Japanese market as competitive companies to existing Japanese monopolies. Apart from advantages of understanding cultural peculiarities on the international level it is possible to work out some useful strategies on the level of companies. Thus, American companies can learn a lot about running negotiations with their Japanese partners. Many researchers are already being held in this field. Thus, a very interesting research depicted by Greene et al. revealed the cultural differences on the basis of the ââ¬Å"print advertisementâ⬠(486). Of course, many useful techniques can be adopted on the basis of such data analysis. However, Goldman suggests a very useful strategy in running negotiations depicting the results of survey which shows that Japanese are ââ¬Å"resistant to bullying or face-threatening negotiating tacticsâ⬠(37). So, American companies should choose another tactic and be very patient. Thus, American companies should understand that it is essential to take into account cultural differences when having negotiations with Japanese companies. Such cultural peculiarities can lead to a great success or a failure. Works Cited Alston, J.P., Takei, I. Japanese Business Culture and Practices: A Guide to Twenty-First Century Japanese Business.
